Install eSIM on iOS
Please note that installation experience may differ by model or iOS version.
If you have questions about installing eSIM onto your iOS device, please reach out to customer support via Help Center and provide screenshots of your settings.
1a). To install your eSIM via QR code:
Use your camera phone to scan the QR code provided in your email or follow the steps below.
1b). To install your eSIM via Manual Input:
Go to you Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan, click “Enter Details Manually” and enter these information provided in your email.
SM-DP+ Address: (provided in your email)
Activation Code: (provided in your email)
Confirmation Code: not required
If you have trouble getting connected:
It may take up to 10-15min to get connected for the first time. If it takes longer than that, please refer to the eSIM Troubleshooting section before reaching out to customer support.
2) When you are ready to use data:

Go to Settings > Cellular and Turn this line on. For your convenience and accuracy, we kindly suggest considering the option to rename this eSIM.

Make sure “Data Roaming” is toggled on and you are selecting the mamaSIM eSIM for “Cellular Data”.
- iOS: You must have iOS 12.1 or later and an unlocked iPhone. Any iPhone older than XR or XS supports eSIM. (Note: When you buy a device with a contract from a mobile operator, it is common practice for them to lock the connectivity from any other supplier. In this case, your device will be considered "locked," at least until your contract expires. You can check with your operator to see if there is anything you can do to unlock the eSIM in your device.) Samsung, Pixel, and many Androids support eSIM.
- Here are a few of the many ways you can use eSIM:
- Add a local data plan when you travel outside of the country or region.
- Use eSIM for Data and keep your voice line separate.
- Purchase the eSIM data plan on our website.
- Receive the eSIM QR code by email.
- Set up your eSIM profile as follows:
- Go to your device [Settings] > [Cellular or Mobile Data] > [Add Cellular Plan].
- Scan the QR code provided by email.
- Tap [Add Cellular Plan].
- Choose [Secondary] Label and change the name to "eSIM."
- Select the option for "Use eSIM for cellular data only" and tap [Continue].
- Select the option for ‘Use Primary as the preferred line’ and tap [Done].
- Check if the APN Name matches with the eSIM order: Tap on eSIM > [Cellular Data Network] > [APN].
- Purchase the eSIM data plan on our website.
- Receive the eSIM QR code by email.
- Set up your eSIM profile as follows:
- Go to your device [Settings] > [Network & Internet] > [Mobile Network].
- Tap "Download a SIM instead?" > Download your SIM > Tap [Next].
- Scan the QR code provided by email.
- Tap [Download] and [Done].
- Check if the APN Name matches with the eSIM order: Tap "eSIM" and tap [Advanced] > Tap [Access Point Names] > [APN].
- 4G/LTE service is available in most countries and continues to be covered in more countries.
- Only data service is available.
- Dual SIM on iPhone offers you the freedom to get separate voice/SMS and data plans. At this stage, only cellular data is available on our eSIM platform. Therefore, after you scan a QR code to add the eSIM, please label it "Secondary" on the "Cellular Plan Labels" page, and then go to the "Default Line" page, choose "Use [Secondary] for cellular data only." You will see a little pop-up "Uncertified Cellular Plan," just click "OK." For more questions about Dual SIM, please check the official document on Apple's website: Apple Dual SIM Support.
- Yes, please make sure that Data Roaming is on. Please go to "Settings" > "Cellular" and turn on "Data Roaming." Please also remember to turn it off after use.
- You can use your phone's delete eSIM function.
- You will receive an email with your QR code. Please check spam if you have not received it after 1 minute.
- The actual usage time of some data plans may start according to your eSIM's first connection. We will describe this in the package information.
- For some packages, you can view the data usage in the order, and for some orders, you cannot view the data usage. You might go to [Settings - Cellular] on your iPhone to find out how much cellular data you're using.
- No, but the same device can rescan the same QR code.
